Relationships in Recovery; an Interview with Mark Goodson
January 25, 2017

Happy Monday! I’m so excited to share that I’m starting a weekly interview series on Relationships; specifically “Relationships in Recovery”.

This interview series is to share how our addictions have made an impact on all of our relationships and how we’ve been able to rebuild and heal those relationships – or how they’ve been a detriment to our current lifestyle.

These will be posted on my blog every Wednesday and I’m stoked to be showcasing an amazing list of authors, bloggers, clinicians, life coaches and just some really kick-ass folks who are recovering from something.  These aren’t just romantic or intimate relationships; it’s our relationships with alcohol, drugs, food, family, pets and our relationship with society in general.  I will say that one main question I didn’t ask was, “How is your relationship with yourself and spirituality?” and those are very important questions to ask.  However, those can be personal to some but in reading through the interviews it all came full circle on how those have manifested within their current lives.

Because in the end it’s all about relationships.  They are at the core of our being in who we are and how we relate with others, and with the Universe at large.  We all want to feel that connection – it’s what feeds our soul.

This Wednesday, January 25, I’m really pleased that Mark Goodson will be kicking off our series.  Mark Goodson is in his 9th year of continuous sobriety. His writer’s website celebrates the simple joys of sober life. He also raves, rants, and reflects on life as a husband, father, and teacher. He was a poet until he ran out of money, and he now teaches English, and raises two children with his wife.  Check out his site; The Miracle of the Mundane
